Love Bali, Support Balinese Driver
Yes the title is correct.
When travelling somewhere in the world the first thing you need to have must be a local friend you can trust to discuss trip, travel tips, anything.
By hiring Balinese driver you will have a good chance to see Bali to the bottom of the iceberg. Being local, our knowledge in this island's culture, custom and traditions is beyond question. We're born and living with it.
I understand that there is a 'tour & transport price war' out there where some drivers offer a very unreasonably low rate for similar trip but surely USD $25 for 8 - 10 hours barely cover the gasoline, not to mention the vehicle maintenance and license.
Those with very low rate are working in big enterprises with tens to hundreds vehicles in their fleet. They sell for a lot less as very small profit doesn't bother them as long as they can generate a lot of tours.
We're working more conservatively with simple math that on every tour we consider the fuel consumption, vehicle maintenance, license, tax, our service and time...
And we have family waiting for us at the end of a long day.
Local drivers -although we charge differently- set their rate by using the above calculation.
I personally won't overcharge my customers as a customer (too) I really don't like the sensation of being ripped off.
Last, many have experienced the benefit and fun by hiring locals. Now your turn. Support us, tour with us, feel free to complain if our service doesn't meet your expectation.
It will help us grow in positive service improvement.
Because we consider our clients as family.
With great thanks,
Komang Rio
